Assos claims that the LL. Uno Bib Tights are "less complex" and "lighter" then similar offerings from other manufacturers. While we believe the lighter part, we were skeptical of the "less complex," because Assos doesn't do simple -- even if the tights seem simple to us because of their hassle-free fit and virtually perfect cold-weather functionality. The LL. Uno is built from the same pattern as the LL. 607, with a few changes to accommodate different riders. The LL. Unos omit stirrups, which is great if you've ever found yourself trying to smash in to tights that fit well width-wise, but aren't long enough in the leg. Not even the fit gurus at Assos can hit every body type off the rack. The LL. 607's airBlock panel on the lower abdomen is also replaced with a more protective variant of the RX fabric, and they are chamois free so you can use your favorite summer chamois underneath. The rest of the construction is virtually the same, with Assos' RX material used throughout. The rear panels are slightly less robust, for lighter weight and better ventilation. The seams and panels are arranged for a fit that'll give you a slightly restrictive feel while standing, but fits perfectly in the saddle. The Assos LL. Uno Bib Tights are available in seven sizes ranging from X-Small to TIR, which is a wide version of the largest size, in the color Black Volkanga.
